free golden age comics

it turns out that much of the material produced in the 40s by publishers which are no longer trading (fiction house, etc) is now out of copyright. there are a couple of websites which host shedloads of free scans of this stuff

http://comicbookplus.com/

http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/

of the numerous links that have appeared on this site so far you may find the ones above to be the most useful, although if you are still in your youth + have not come across golden age books before beware of racist stuff in amongst them

when hunting for specific artists (in this case that would be someone like Matt Baker) you could use

http://comicbookdb.com/browse.php?search=Creator

find the artist in the alphabetical list, select ‘View a chronological listing of this creator’s work’ + see if any of it’s on comicbookplus
